Trail description

Explore our new seasonal trail this summer and discover some of the best of the arboretum

There's so much to see at the arboretum in summer that it can be difficult to know what to head for first. To help you we've selected some of our favourite summer sights and put together a new seasonal trail to ensure that you get all the highlights of summer!

Inhale the sweet scent of the mock orange (Philadelphus spp.), discover why alders (Alnus spp.) have strong foundations, and learn why giant redwood (Sequoiadendron giganteum) paved the way for the first official National Park at Yellowstone.

The way is clearly marked along the path - and helpful panels next to each stop will tell you all you could wish to know about the trees and plants there

Pick up your free map from the Welcome Building and head out exploring this summer
