European Forest Accounts

A new European Forest Accounts (EFA) collection was introduced by Eurostat, following a pilot in 2015.  The EFA cover stocks and flows of woodland and timber, and economic data on forestry.

Prior to the EFA, economic data had been collected annually in the Integrated Environmental and Economic Accounting for Forestry (IEEAF) was piloted by Eurostat in 2004. Economic data (table 3c) has been collected annually.

Prior to the introduction of the IEEAF, data on Economic Accounts for Forestry were collected annually by Eurostat. This collection ceased in 2005.
