Samantha Hammell holds a MA from University College London (UCL) in Museums Studies and a MA in Art History from University of Maryland, College Park, USA. Samantha is currently working on a CAM Diploma in Digital marketing with a particular focus on statistics and metrics.

Since joining Forest Research in 2013, Samantha has successfully redeveloped the FR website and introduced a number of digital projects. Prior to Forest Research, Samantha was Digital Media Manager for the national disability charity Capability Scotland where she initiated and delivered complex online projects such as the organisation’s extranet.

Samantha started her career whilst still a student, becoming web manager for a research consortium at the University of Maryland in 1999. Upon moving to Scotland in 2003, Samantha worked as a digital content producer for a multimedia agency and has, since then, worked for Historic Scotland, the BBC, National Museums Scotland and The City of Edinburgh Council developing and producing digital content and project-managing large scale websites.
